Okay, you know Donny Hathaway and Roberta Flack made this song popular. I LOVED their version; it's a classic and always will be. However, there was another version of this song that I rocked heavily in the mid-nineties and it was sung by Stephanie Mills and Robert Brookins. Stephanie was just cold back in the day - and I mean that in a dynamic way. She and Angela Winbush were two petite powerhouse vocalists who took no prisoners. Anyway, I brought up this song because sadly, Robert Brookins who sang the song with Stephanie Mills, passed away 4/15/09.
Time flies so fast. 20 years came & went and I'm now 36. Live each day to your fullest whether it's enjoying a good book, cuddling with someone you love, traveling to exotic places or climbing Mt. Everett, just enjoy it. My mom used to say, "You know you're getting old, when the people you grew up with [everyday and celebs] being passing away." It's true, I never met Mr. Brookins but his music still lives on & takes me back to a time where people had 'TIME' for one another. They had time to connect beyond the internet. Always take a moment to communicate with someone in some old fashioned way, whether in person, snail mail- smoke signals ;-) [smile].
